Biography
Alexander Karasik is the founder and lead trial attorney of Karasik Law Group, which he started in 2007 to represent injured people in personal injury, car accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and construction accident cases. Born in Riga, Latvia, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1983. Before entering law, he built a successful career in business and technology sales, negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts, and in 2002 he decided to pursue his lifelong calling in law. He has been quoted in the New York Daily News, featured in Medical Office Magazine, and has delivered presentations on commercial transactions and litigation strategy.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1993, completed an International Law Program with honors at Moscow State University, and earned his Juris Doctor from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, where he earned multiple Book Awards for top performance in Bankruptcy and Uniform Commercial Transactions. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2006 and the New Jersey Bar in 2020, and he is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer every year from 2021 through 2024 and holds a peer-reviewed Martindale-Hubbell rating. Outside the courtroom, he coaches his children's soccer team, skis, plays guitar, and mentors young lawyers.
